Sejla Kameric at Galerie im Taxispalais, Innsbruck
Sejla Kameric, What do I know, 2007. Filmstill Sejla Kameric 22nd November 2008 – 25th January 2009 The exhibition of work by Bosnian artist Sejla Kameric is dealing with history, with distant memories from the past. On the one hand, Kameric shows a fictive film scenario of her family history, and on the other hand, photographic works in which she traces indications of a violent past − on the surface of a wall, or using the example of an historical colour photograph from the Warsaw ghetto.

Lunch in Innsbruck
We left Munich via train heading to Verona, Italy, for the next leg of our trip. It is about a five and a half hour passage that chugs up the Alps, through the Brenner Pass and glides back down the other side, with some of the most picturesque scenery you could expect from a rail journey. We wanted to break the trip up a bit, so we left the train in Innsbruck, Austria, for a few hours. Innsbruck, the capital of the Tyrol, hosted the 1964 and 1976 Winter Olympic Games. Looking out from the city in

Let’s catch up
I have to say I have been avoiding blogging. I don’t know what it is exactly, but I think I just wanted to live in the moment and not constantly be thinking “oohhh I need to blog about this.” Ditto for taking pictures. I haven’t taken many pics in the last few months because I also felt like that was taking me out of the moment and I was seeing life pass by through a lens. I don’t know where this blog will go, but I have definitely felt better not blogging lately. But the mood struck me today s

Far Away [Take Me]
Today I came home and opened the fridge door. Then an open carton of Thai chicken soup fell on me and, in comic fashion, covered me from waist to toe in liquid. That was loads of fun... In happier news, I finally got round to wearing my new(est) shoes, these Topshop beauties, after sitting them on my desk and just staring at them for three weeks as if they were art and not actually meant for wear on my feet. Does anyone else do this with their favourite new purchases?I know Rumi has already post
